BANANA ISLAND • PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT
Lucrezia is a curved, travertine-clad residence on Banana Island, 99% complete and ready for immediate occupancy. Fully furnished four-bedroom maisonettes of about 600 sqm and a 1,400 sqm penthouse with a private cinema, pool and golf garden.
Lucrezia by Sujimoto brings together architectural expression, intelligent technology and high-end residential living in Banana Island, Ikoyi.
Designed as a distinctive curved landmark, the development comprises 16 four-bedroom maisonettes and 2 penthouses within a 14-storey residential tower. The residences are designed around generous proportions, high ceilings, premium materials and carefully selected fittings, creating a residential experience focused on space, comfort and sophistication.
Start with the building's shape. Lucrezia curves along the island's skyline with a facade dressed in travertine limestone and Glass Reinforced Concrete. Travertine is the stone Rome has worn for two thousand years, and the developer's claim for it is a century of unfaded glamour. Inside, the ceilings rise to 3.6 metres and the solid Oikos doors stand at 2.4 metres, so rooms have the height that makes a chandelier look intentional. Floors and finishes are marble throughout. The bathrooms are fitted in Zaha Hadid sanitary ware, and the Kohler kitchens carry Smeg appliances. Full home automation and central cooling run every room, and Italian furniture completes it.
Each maisonette spans roughly 600 square metres, with four bedrooms and two boys' quarters. It comes furnished, so the day you take the keys is the day you begin living there. Downstairs living stays with the residence itself. A swimming pool, a Techno gym, a business lounge and EV charging are part of the building, with a concierge desk that treats service as hospitality. An IMAX cinema, an indoor virtual golf lounge with more than 2,500 courses, a salon and a spa and wellness suite are being brought on stream, so the building keeps adding to what it offers.
Above the maisonettes sits a single residence of approximately 1,400 square metres. It has its own private elevator, private cinema and private swimming pool, and what the developer calls the first private golf garden in Africa. The glass facade draws light from dawn to dusk into open-plan living. The finishes were chosen and customised piece by piece. It is one home, on one floor, at one address, and it is priced at ₦22 billion for the person who wants the island beneath them.
Banana Island is Nigeria's most expensive neighbourhood and the address the developer sets beside the Seventh Arrondissement in Paris, The Bishop's Avenue in London and Park Avenue in New York. Lucrezia stands among its numbered avenues. Around it are Parkview Astoria Hotel, Ocean Parade Towers, banks, the Banana Island School, the sports field and Merciado Park. The island brings its own security, road network and infrastructure. The rest of Lagos is a drive away, and none of it is inside your gate.
Banana Island has a fixed number of plots and a long waiting list of buyers, and Lucrezia adds a fixed number of homes on top of that. The building is already standing, furnished and occupied, so what you buy is what you see, with none of the construction risk of an off-plan tower. The price ladder runs from ₦4.5 billion on the second floor to ₦22 billion at the penthouse, which gives a buyer a clear choice of height, view and budget. It is a completed asset in the best-known address in Nigerian property.
Lucrezia wasn't built to be one more tower on the island. It was built by a group that studied the finest buildings in the world, came home, and set the standard here. The travertine will outlast the sales brochure by a century. What remains is a short list of residences, a single penthouse, and the choice of which floor to call home.
